Your privacy matters to us. This Privacy Policy describes how information is handled when you use this site and its tools.

1. About the service

Toolary is an online tools platform, with converters, encoders, decoders, formatters, generators, and other features for everyday tasks. It is not a program you download or install.

The tools are built to run, whenever technically possible, directly in the user's browser.

2. Local processing

Data entered in the tools is processed locally by the user's browser.

Content entered for conversion, encoding, decoding, formatting, generation, or other operations is not sent to our servers for processing, unless a feature explicitly says otherwise.

That means text, code, documents, and other information entered in the tools stay on the user's device while the application processes them.

Three situations are worth separating. Content given to the tools, such as text, JSON, tokens, documents, and passwords, is processed in the browser and is not sent to Toolary for that operation. Technical browsing data may be handled by the services that host the site, measure visits, and run campaigns, as described in the following sections. Some features, such as the My IP page, depend on an external lookup and are described in this Policy.

Even so, we recommend that you avoid entering passwords, credentials, private keys, access tokens, sensitive personal data, or other confidential information in online tools whenever that is not necessary.

3. Collection of personal data

The site does not currently require an account or sign-in to use the tools, and it does not intentionally collect personal data entered in the tools.

If features that collect or transmit information are added later, this Privacy Policy may be updated to reflect those changes.

4. Technical data and infrastructure

Although content processed by the tools is not sent to our servers, the infrastructure that serves the site may, as is normal on the Internet, process technical information needed to answer requests.

That information can include, for example, IP address, browser type, operating system, date and time of access, pages or resources requested, and information related to the security and operation of the service.

Depending on the hosting infrastructure, this information may also appear temporarily in technical access and security logs.

On the site entrance, when the session has no chosen language yet, Toolary reads only the country code already attached to the request by Cloudflare, to open Portuguese or English. That code is not stored, the IP address is not saved for this choice, and the session keeps only the language.

5. Cookies and local storage

The site may use browser local storage, such as localStorage, for preferences that stay on the device, such as theme, favorites, and field drafts. You can remove that data in the browser settings.

That local storage is separate from the cookies and similar technologies that third parties, such as Google, may store when measuring visits or campaigns.

The site uses Google Analytics 4, identifier G-QS112P3Q33, for visit statistics and to understand how the tools are used. Google Analytics may use cookies and similar technologies. Technical information, such as pages visited, browser, device, and IP address, may be processed by Google under its own policies and settings.

Events sent by Toolary, such as tool_used, can include the tool name and the kind of action, for example format, generate, or copy. Favoriting or unfavoriting a page sends that page's name. Events Toolary sends to Google Analytics do not intentionally include content entered in the tools, such as JSON, JWT tokens, text, documents, CPF, CNPJ, passwords, keys, or other processed values. Google's policy is at policies.google.com/privacy.

6. Advertising and campaign measurement

Toolary may use Google services, including Google Ads, to promote the site and measure campaign performance. Those services may use cookies or similar technologies. Those technologies may make it possible to tell, for example, when a visit or the use of a tool happened after an interaction with an ad.

Google Analytics and Google Ads may be linked. Toolary may use aggregated browsing data and Google Analytics events to analyze performance and measure advertising campaigns. Content entered in the tools is not intentionally sent by Toolary to Google Ads for advertising or measurement, and it is not used for that purpose.

7. Third-party services

The site may contain links to external sites, services, or resources.

We are not responsible for the privacy, security, availability, or content of third-party services. When you open an external service, we recommend reading its privacy policy.

The My IP page has to query external services to discover the public IP and related information. The public address is looked up at ipify (api.ipify.org and api64.ipify.org). Details such as approximate location, timezone, and provider come from ipwho.is, which receives the public address in that lookup. The local network address, when obtained in the browser, is not sent. In the menu, refreshing the IP repeats the public IPv4 lookup and, if needed, uses ipwho.is. When the menu does not yet have an IP stored for the session, the browser may also query a Google STUN server to identify an address for the connection. Analytics actions for this tool, such as use or copy, do not include the IP address as an event parameter.

8. Security

We take reasonable measures to keep the site and its features secure.

Even so, no system or application available over the Internet can guarantee absolute security. You are responsible for judging the information you use in the tools and for avoiding unnecessary exposure of confidential data.

9. Responsibility for entered data

You are responsible for the information entered in the tools and must make sure you are allowed to use and process it.

The site is not responsible for misuse of the tools or for entering someone else's information without permission.

10. Children and teenagers

The site is not specifically intended to collect information from children or teenagers, and it does not intentionally do so through its tools.

11. LGPD

When applicable, processing of personal data related to operating the site follows the principles and rights in Brazilian Law 13.709/2018, the General Personal Data Protection Law (LGPD).

Because information entered in the tools is, as a rule, processed locally in the browser and is not transmitted to the site, we do not have access to the content used in those operations.

Technical data handled by the hosting infrastructure is used for purposes compatible with operating, securing, stabilizing, and maintaining the service. Visit and campaign measurement is described in its own sections of this Policy.

When Toolary processes personal data, the data subject may request information and exercise the rights provided by the LGPD, when they apply, through the contact channel listed in this Policy.

12. Changes to this Policy

This Privacy Policy may be updated from time to time to reflect changes in the site's features, the infrastructure in use, or legal and regulatory requirements.

The current version will always be available on this page, with its update date.

13. Contact
